A glance of my experience

Bridging Science and Business

I work at the intersection of science and business, in the context of OTC and dermatology, a space I find both dynamic and rewarding. I stay closely attuned to emerging market trends and scientific developments, while maintaining active communication with stakeholders and key opinion leaders. I translate complex data into clear, accessible insights that support decision-making and product communication. In this role, I have developed strong leadership skills, managing multiple projects and deadlines while consistently delivering results. Known for my communication skills, I collaborate closely with commercial, regulatory, and R&D teams to ensure alignment and impact.

Research, Development & Project Leadership

Across my roles, I have contributed to research and development efforts focused on advancing innovative healthcare solutions, including point-of-care technologies for improved diagnostics and prognostics. I have worked at the interface of technical and clinical teams, facilitating collaboration to support product development and ensure alignment between scientific, engineering, and clinical perspectives. Throughout my work, I have maintained a strong focus on regulatory compliance, including MDR, ISO, and FDA standards, working closely with regulatory and product teams to ensure quality and compliance expectations are met.

I also hold a certification in project management from Microsoft, which has strengthened my ability to organize and prioritize work effectively. My project management experience includes stakeholder and budget management, risk identification and mitigation, project planning, and delivering projects within defined timelines

Data Analysis

Data analysis and data awareness have always been central to my work. For me, it goes beyond performing statistical analysis or using advanced tools like R; it is about developing the mindset to interpret data and translate it into meaningful insights for research and business decisions. Building technical skills in analysis is one aspect, but equally important is the ability to clearly communicate and explain data to others, supporting projects and enabling informed decision-making.

Proteomics Research

During my 20s, I worked across a range of laboratory environments, including clinical, diagnostic, and research settings, through summer roles, research positions, and my PhD. During this time, I developed hands-on experience with various technologies in proteomics and diagnostic tools. This diverse background allowed me to work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, researchers, and professors, each with different objectives and communication needs. Adapting to these environments strengthened my communication skills and contributed to my ability to connect with different stakeholders. It was also during this time that I learned Swedish and Italian, having worked in Iran before moving to Italy and later Sweden.

Biomarker discovery was a cornerstone of my extensive experience during my PhD and later in industry. I've actively participated in many collaborative projects, delving deeply into the exploration of biomarkers within autoimmune diseases and cardiovascular diseases. I possess a strong familiarity with both the process of biomarker discovery and development, as well as their crucial role in patient monitoring and the advancement of personalized medicine.

Grant Writing

I found grant writing highly rewarding and enjoyed the competitive aspect of securing funding. Through this experience, I developed strong skills in planning and writing successful grant applications. I won four grant applications that founded my trips during my PhD and one by VINOVA.

Education

2019-2023

Ph.D. in Biotechnology

KTH Royal Institute of Technology

Stockholm, Sweden

Throughout my doctoral studies, I engaged in research focused on autoantibody profiling within autoimmune diseases. My Ph.D. program was part of a consortium funded by the European Union, with a particular emphasis on extensive investigation into Vasculitis. This experience provided me with specialized knowledge in Affinity proteomics techniques, proficiency in data analysis, and effective scientific communication skills.

2016-2019

Master of Science in Molecular Biology of the Cells

University of Milan

Milan, Italy

As a graduate at University of Milan, I studied Molecular Biology of the Cells and gained a solid foundation in the principles of Molecular Biology and Biophysics. I also conducted research in a biochemistry lab where I learned laboratory techniques and data analysis.

Stockholm,

Sweden
