This is Tina Persson's article on using mindfulness, and it was spot-on!
It felt as if she was speaking directly to me. I read her words over and over—twice, three times, and again the next day. 👀
As a high-performing professional, I often find myself feeling restless and overwhelmed. I try to build a lot, yet there always seems to be more to do.
I'm a task-oriented person who prioritizes deadlines, details, meetings, and collaboration. Though I might seem like an extrovert who enjoys small talk, I often just want to get back to my desk, finish my project, and hit the gym. I'm not interested in lunchtime discussions about "how to stop breastfeeding my 2 year old". 😶
Tina Persson's article on using mindfulness as a career journey tool really resonated with me. Her experience of moving from feeling unfairly dismissed to embracing mindfulness and emotional intelligence highlights a crucial lesson: success isn't just about working the hardest; it's about understanding your role within a larger ecosystem and building strong relationships.

I relate to the challenges she mentions:
Feeling easily bored or unchallenged in a new job.
Overlooking the importance of networking and social activities.
Struggling with stress and exhaustion despite high performance.
Mindfulness has been a game-changer for many to slow down, reflect, and align actions with deeper goals and values. For me, mindfulness isn't just about finding inner peace; it's about becoming more adaptable, resilient, and a better colleague.
